I am writing this email because I have some questions regarding the repertoire for the audition. The guidelines state that there must be four pieces. For my audition, I have selected works from four different national styles (German, French, English, and Italian), and for those that include more than one movement (such as Bach’s Sonata for Solo Violin), I have chosen two contrasting movements, which I will indicate in my application. I would like to know whether this is acceptable, whether I am required to prepare the complete piece, and whether it is permissible to present repertoire that is not originally written for my instrument. Kind regards, and thank you. »;}
