He has sung as a soloist works by J.S. Bach, Buxtehude, Schütz, Vivaldi, Bernstein, and Pärt, with performance organizations such as Residentie Bach Ensembles, Dutch Baroque, and Bachcelona Akademie, among others. As a choir singer, he collaborates with Cappella Amsterdam, Cantores Martini, and Bachcollegium Barcelona, and he has produced, conducted, and performed in various projects with the small ensembles Fonos, Stile Spezzato, and Lettere in Musica.
This past year, Marcel finished his Bachelor’s at The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, where he studied with Rita Dams, Francesca Aspromonte, Robin Blaze, Peter Kooij, and Pascal Bertin. He also studied baroque oboe with Frank de Bruine and choir conducting lessons with Jos Vermunt. Marcel was selected to sing in masterclasses with Sonia Tedla, Ulrike Hofbauer, Manfred Cordes, and Alessandro Quarta.
